Serendipity magazine style editor Casey Deck brings a tough-girl-goes-glam edge into a world often dominated by Lilly Pulitzer and popped collars.
Casey's style is the perfect combination of edgy and effortless, yet disciplined. She takes risks and has fun without ever seeming to go overboard. Add to that an innate sense for what's cool and you get a pretty clear picture of her free-spirited style.
I caught up with Casey and got her take on what we can look forward to this Fall on the fashion front.

What is still working from last fall that people should pull out again?
One of the biggest trends that is here to stay are animal prints. They have become a staple that everyone can incorporate into their wardrobe in their own way. Whether it’s through a pair of leopard printed flats, a belt, or a handbag.
My favorite way to wear this trend is to pair a leopard printed blouse with a basic pant. Think bold, yet classic.
Color-wise, what is trending and how can people fold that into their look?
This is the most colorful fall we've seen in awhile. From top designers who have crafted sophisticated coats in beautiful pastels to runways that are overflowing with striking tones such as military greens and fierce blues. These colors can be incorporated into your wardrobe in any way.
Throw on an oversized cobalt sweater with pants that share the same color hues (as pictured below) or put on your most comfortable pair of jeans and dress them up with a cool candy-colored jacket. HAVE FUN with color and don't be afraid to mix and match. This fall anything goes!
Can you list five fall fashion staples that everyone should have in their wardrobe?
1. A Blazer. An easy staple that can be paired with black pants or ripped jeans for a more fun and relaxed look.
2. The perfect white tee. Wear under structured blazers, jackets or open cardigans.
3. Boots. Any type that suits your personal style (tall, short, high, flat, sleek, rugged).
4. Chunky Sweater. This laid back option is so chic and casual when paired with skinny jeans and boots.
5. Slate gray jeans. Great to dress up with black pumps and a blazer or to wear casual with a pair of Converse and a graphic tee.
What one piece are you dying to add to your wardrobe this season?
Unlimited budget? This Etoile Isabal Marant Kady washed leather jacket. (Right, $1,210).
The real world? I'll stick with these lace up leather ankle boots from Zara that make a statement. (Right, $89).
You have an "edge" to your fashion sense and like to take risks. What are things people can take to shake things up without feeling uncomfortable but still feel "current"?
An easy way to still feel comfortable while rocking one of the latest trends is to incorporate trends in a subtle way. For instance: leather is a huge this fall. If you are hesitant to wear a pair of leather pants or leather jacket try a simple tee with a stitched leather trim or a red leather belt with jeans.
In fashion it is always fun to take risks. Play within in your comfort zone while making a statement. So, if you want to push the envelope a bit, try pairing leather pants or leggings with a classic button down so you can still feel sophisticated yet trendy.
Fast forward to late September: You have 15 minutes to get dressed and head out the door: What do you put on?
My go-to outfit for a night out is: leather pants, a simple v-neck tee, a blazer and heels. It's so easy to throw on, yet always makes a statement. I love turning a casual tee-shirt into anything you want it to be.
