Tough, Pretty & Made In Brooklyn: GEN MFG CO
When I look at this pretty bag I'm transported to a quiet spot on a pristine beach. But please, don't let it's looks fool you. This bag is a work horse. Constructed of tough, heavy canvas and american-made leather, this beauty could probably survive a shipwreck. And that's exactly what the guys at Brooklyn, NY-based General Manufacturing Concern were after.
Each product is handmade for durability, practicality and beauty. Take the Minocqua tote for instance, the hand dipped latex on each tote adds not only a nice human touch, but a bit more durability on its rear end. The grey and blue Bawlines Blanket (named after a small, foggy town in Marin County, CA) achieves its perfect imperfections thanks to some experimentation with a 75 year-old quilting machine--no two blankets are alike. There is also a walnut and leather jump rope that promises to be your forever jump rope and a keyring that is the embodiment of simplistic utilitarian beauty.
GEN MFG CO does not plan to stick to one category or niche---but go where their creativity and talents take them.
Buy once. Use everyday. Have forever.
